Conference 2010 Syllabus
OR… “WHAT’S BLACK AND WHITE AND GREEN ALL OVER?”
Conference 2010 is going “green”, from coffee cups to electronic registration… and lecture materials.
For the first time at an OGS Conference, 2010 registrants will have the option of accessing the Conference Syllabus on-line through a password-protected web link.
Why? To start with, it’s easier on the environment. We’ve done the math. There are up to five lecture options in each time slot at Conference 2010. If every registrant only prints off the materials for the lectures he or she actually plans to attend, we could reduce the volume of paper used by close to 75%. Now that’s innovation!
But accessing the Syllabus on-line isn’t only environmentally responsible—there are some other very good reasons for making that green choice:
- you’ll be able to take a look at the lecture materials ahead of time and make more informed decisions about which sessions to attend;
- if you like to be prepared for Conference sessions, you’ll be able to do your homework in advance… maybe even come up with some great questions for the speakers;
- you’ll be able to decide exactly which pages you really need to print off; and
- less paper in your bag will mean more room for those must-have delights waiting for you in Marketplace…
Watch for the Conference 2010 Syllabus, coming to you on-line no later than May 1, 2010.
And don’t worry… if you find it essential to have a complete paper copy of the Syllabus, you’ll find an option to purchase a traditional printed version at cost ($15) on your registration form.
