How do I register?

There are six registration packages available for OGS Conference 2010:

  • Full Weekend Package—The best deal, by far. Includes Friday evening’s Opening Ceremonies, the Houston Memorial Lecture and reception, Saturday and Sunday sessions and activities, a registrant kit and access to the online Syllabus. Access to the Dutch and Italian streams is available to those signing up for this Package. (Note: Conference 2010 Banquet requires an additional ticket. See the Meals page.)
    Until March 15: $110 for OGS or OLA members/ $130 for non-members
    From March 16: $125 for OGS or OLA members/ $145 for non-members
  • Family Full Weekend Package—A great deal for two family members. Includes Friday evening’s Opening Ceremonies, the Houston Memorial Lecture and reception, Saturday and Sunday sessions and activities, two registrant kits and access to the online Syllabus. Access to the Dutch and Italian streams is available to those signing up for this Package. (Note: Conference 2010 Banquet requires additional tickets. See the Meals page.)
    Until March 15: $185 for OGS or OLA members/ $205 for non-members
    From March 16: $205 for OGS or OLA members/ $225 for non-members
  • Friday Daytime Package—A great learning opportunity on its own or added to a Full Weekend Package. Includes all Friday sessions and activities from 8:30 am to 5:30 pm, including the “Toronto’s Irish Heritage” bus tour. Includes a registrant kit and access to the online Syllabus. (Note: The Ancestry.ca luncheon requires an additional ticket. See the Meals page.)
    Until March 15: $80 for OGS or OLA members/ $90 for non-members
    From March 16: $90 for OGS or OLA members/ $100 for non-members
  • Friday Evening Activities—On its own or add to any single day package. (Included in Full Weekend Packages.) Includes Conference 2010 Opening Ceremonies, the Houston Memorial Lecture and reception following.
    Anytime: $15 for OGS or OLA members or non-members
  • Saturday Package—An information-packed day with 25 concurrent lectures including a special back-to-basic stream (also ideal for novices). Includes all Saturday lectures and activities, a registrant kit and access to the online Syllabus. Access to the Dutch and Italian streams is available to those signing up for this Package. (Note: Conference 2010 Banquet requires an additional ticket. See the Meals page.)
    Until March 15: $80 for OGS or OLA members/ $90 for non-members
    From March 16: $90 for OGS or OLA members/ $100 for non-members
  • Sunday Package—Choose from 15 wide-ranging lectures including a not-to-be-missed closing plenary. Includes all Sunday lectures and activities, a registrant kit and access to the online Syllabus.
    Until March 15: $70 for OGS or OLA members/ $80 for non-members
    From March 16: $80 for OGS or OLA members/ $90 for non-members

There are two pre-conference programs on Thursday, May 13, 2010:

  • Hands-on Research Excursion—Extend your stay with a day of research guided by our local experts. Includes all excursion travel costs.
    Fee: $36. Numbers are limited. Register early to avoid disappointment.
  • Libraries and Genealogy—Attend this full-day pre-conference workshop sponsored by the Ontario Library Association.
    Until March 15: $95 for OLA or OGS members/ $115 for non-members
    From March 16: $115 for OLA or OGS members/ $135 for non-members

REGISTRATION
Please register in advance. You may register online using a credit card at our secure site, or download a pdf registration form to mail in or send by fax.

We recommend that you review the Program page, Syllabus page and Meals page before completing the registration form. Meals are not included in the registration packages. Please see the Accommodation page to reserve your room at the Doubletree.

SYLLABUS
Please note that registration packages include free access to the online Syllabus for approximately two weeks before and two weeks after the Conference. Please see the Syllabus page for more details. You may order a printed copy of the Syllabus for $15 on the registration form.

CURRENCY EXCHANGE
All prices quoted are in Canadian dollars. If you live outside Canada, please pay by credit card if possible. Find an estimated equivalent in another currency.

CANCELLATION POLICY
Registration fees:
Up to March 31: Full refund minus a $25 administration fee
April 1 to April 30: 50 percent refund
May 1 and after: No refund
Program, speakers and other activities are subject to change without notice.
Meals:
Up to April 30: Full refund
May 1 and after: No refund
