PROGRAM—Overview
Conference 2010 offers a content-rich program of “Essentials, Innovations & Delights”, packed with more plenary and concurrent sessions than ever before. Practical lectures provide necessary information about unfamiliar topics—“essentials”—or new information about familiar ones—“innovations”. Sprinkled throughout the schedule are genealogical “delights”—case studies that are certain to intrigue and inspire.
THURSDAY, MAY 13: PRE-CONFERENCE ACTIVITIES
- Take advantage of the wonderful cluster of archives and reference libraries in Toronto during your stay. Sign up for the “Hands-on Research” excursion.
- Take part in the special Ontario Library Association pre-conference workshop. You don’t have to be a librarian to appreciate the great lineup of topics.
FRIDAY, MAY 14
Register for the Friday Daytime Package and choose from:

Friday evening
- Conference 2010 really gets rolling with the Opening Ceremonies and Houston Memorial Lecture
- Choose from 25 different lectures—something for everyone, including a full-day stream devoted to basic skills.
- Explore your Dutch ancestry with an additional four-lecture stream on research in the Netherlands.
- Learn how to research your Italian ancestry with an additional four-lecture stream on research in Italy.
- Choose from 16 different lectures including a closing plenary on a wide variety of topics including a series on identifying, collecting and preserving family photographs… and much more.
