An organization of family historians, some with Toronto roots, others who live in Toronto, we have ancestors around the world.

September 2023 meeting

The first Toronto Branch meeting of the fall 2023 season took place on the evening of Monday, September 25, with a special in-person-only “opening act”!

We met at Lansing United Church at 49 Bogert Ave in north Toronto, near the Sheppard subway station, starting a little earlier than usual at 7:00 p.m., and enjoyed an hour of “show-and-tell” with Branch members displaying their family history projects.

Our main presentation began at 8:00 p.m. live on site.

Mags Gaulden, the founder of Grandma’s Genes in Ottawa, told us how she used DNA to help confirm a family connection on the other side of the Atlantic, in Jumping the Pond: Finding my Home in Ireland.

For those who were unable to attend in person we also shared Mags Gaulden’s talk live on Zoom.

A recording is now available for a limited time. Click here to access our recordings page.
