This half-day course is intended for those who have already done a lot of family history research. It will outline the steps required to publish your family history in a printed book format. You will learn how to plan and print the story of your family. Topics include: organizing your material, designing a layout, getting an ISBN number and National Library catalogue entry, choosing a publisher and marketing your book.
Course Instructor: Nancy Conn
A former teacher and computer consultant, Nancy has been a member of the Ontario Genealogical Society for over 30 years, including four years on the executive of the Toronto Branch. She has written several books about her Irish, English and Scottish forebears. She has also proven her lineage through the United Empire Loyalists’ Association and is working on documenting her Mayflower lineage. Currently Nancy hosts the Huguenot Special Interest Group for the Toronto Branch.
Transportation
The Toronto Reference Library is on Yonge Street one block north of Bloor Street. The best transportation method is by subway to the Bloor/Yonge subway station. Parking in the area is extremely limited.
