A THREE-SESSION COURSE, WEDNESDAYS, JUNE 11, 18 AND 25

family photograph A course to help genealogists to make effective use of photography in all its aspects. The course will cover a wide range of topics, including: taking better pictures; acquiring pictures and digital documents including from the Internet; converting pictures to digital formats; enhancing pictures and documents through the use of specialized software; organizing and storing digital images; and using images in family trees and family histories.

The class will be using PC computers at the Reference Library but techniques and options for Mac users will also be included.

Instructor: Carol Nichols
Carol Nichols worked for many years as a teacher in Scarborough and with the Toronto District School Board. There she developed an interest in using technology to help students to learn effectively. As a member of the Ontario Genealogical Society, Carol has presented courses and made presentations on the use of technology in family history. She is especially interested in helping people make good use of available technology to learn about their ancestors, to record their findings and to communicate their results to others.

The Reference Library is on Yonge Street one block north of Bloor Street. The best way to get there is by subway to the Bloor/Yonge station. Parking is extremely limited in the area.
