The next Toronto Branch meeting will take place on Monday, June 27, beginning at 7:30 p.m. (Eastern Daylight Time). It will be entirely online and open to all—but you must register in advance.
This month, we’re delighted to be able to welcome Pat Barnett, President of the East York Historical Society, who’ll share with us the fascinating story of Judge Grizzle: Civil Rights Activist. During a lifetime that spanned nearly a century, Stanley George Sinclair Grizzle was a railway porter, a soldier, a newspaper columnist and author. He ran for office and served as a citizenship judge. Throughout it all, he fought for the rights of workers and Black Canadians. And now, thanks in large part to the efforts of Ms. Barnett, both a park and a lane in Toronto bear his name.
We’ll also enjoy a short presentation by Claire Wilton on Researching your ancestors in the Anglican Diocese of Toronto records.

Please note that there are no monthly Branch meetings in July and August, but we will resume our regular schedule in September 2021. Watch our Calendar for information about events coming up in the months ahead.
