Genealogy Summer Camp

Genealogy Summer Camp buttonJune 4 to June 8, 2018

After a two-year hiatus, we’ll be back with Genealogy Summer Camp number 19, in 2018. The dates are June 4 to 8, right after the OGS Conference nearby in Guelph—making it easy for out-of-town Campers to attend both events. In fact, Summer Camp registrants will get a special discount for the OGS Conference.

Genealogy Summer Camp is a five-day, hands-on program for family historians with Ontario roots. Campers will visit the Archives of Ontario, City of Toronto Archives, Toronto Reference Library, and their choices of the four denominational archives in Toronto. We’ll travel together on public transit. Each day starts with a tour and/or tutorial, leaving lots of time for your own research, guided by local experts.

Genealogy Summer Camp was designed mainly for out-of-towners. We’ve made arrangements for inexpensive accommodation. However, we welcome “day-campers” who live locally and join the group every morning. It’s great for anyone who wants a concentrated week of research in Ontario records.

We accept a limited number of Genealogy Summer Campers. For much more information and the online application, please visit: wherethestorytakesme.ca.

Note: Genealogy Summer Camp 2018 is now fully booked.
