An organization of family historians, some with Toronto roots, others who live in Toronto, we have ancestors around the world.

May 2023 meeting

Our next Toronto Branch meeting will take place on May 29 (NOTE: not our typical 4th Monday of the month due to Victoria Day), beginning at 7:30 p.m. (EDT).

The ever-popular duo of Dawn Kelly and Carol Ufford will be returning with the third in their series of talks about New France. This time, they’ll be regaling us with lively tales of a widow’s scandalous remarriage, a salt smuggler, and more! Get set for Scandal, Slavery and Survival: More Tales from New France.

And Diana Thomson will start us off a short presentation titled The Saga of a Boy of the Third Class—stories about an Australian pioneer settler in her family tree.

This will be a hybrid meeting. Please join us at Lansing United Church at 49 Bogert Avenue in north Toronto, near the Sheppard subway station (masks are encouraged), and chat with our speakers and other members in person. Or, if you prefer, attend live online via Zoom. Our presentations will also be recorded for future viewing.
