Our first Toronto Branch meeting of the fall 2016 season will take place on Monday 26 September starting at 7:30 pm at our new location—Eglinton St George’s United Church at 35 Lytton Blvd in North Toronto (in the Sanctuary).
Our featured speaker Paul Jones will share the story of his 25-year research odyssey to unravel two successive generations of patrilineal illegitimacy and identify his “true” surname. Please join us for I’m not a Jones, but what am I?
During the mid-meeting break, take a few moments to drop by our information tables and find out about Branch courses and volunteer opportunities… and mingle with other members and guests. We’ll conclude with a short presentation by Branch members Ann Brown and Beth Adams titled Indomitable Granny Brown/Auntie Belle.
Please note that the Members Network will be gathering before the main meeting (beginning at 6:15) in the Eglinton Room. All Branch members are welcome to participate and share experiences with others pursuing their family history research!
Eglinton St George’s is located a block west of Yonge Street between Eglinton and Lawrence Avenues—a short bus-ride or a reasonable walking distance from either the Eglinton or Lawrence subway station. If you’re driving, there is some local street parking and there are also three “Green P” parking lots close by.
