A Special Fall Welcome

Our September Toronto Branch meeting will take place on Monday 28 September at the Burgundy Room, North York Memorial Hall, 5110 Yonge Street in Toronto (convenient access from the North York Centre subway station)… and it will be a special gathering to launch the fall season!

Image of autumn leavesWe’ll be getting underway a little earlier than usual – at 6:30 pm. Mix and mingle over coffee and tea and enjoy poster presentations by six Branch members on their family history research.

At 7:30, we’ll welcome Lesley Anderson, Partnership Development and Content Specialist with, who’ll bring us up to date on What’s new at Ancestry… learn about the latest record sets and updated collections available through the Ancestry network of websites and how to make your most of your search experience.

And, following a short refreshment break, we’ll be introducing an exciting new meeting segment that we’re calling Ask a Question! You’ll be invited to join one or more of four discussion groups, all led by Branch volunteers. Whether you’re new to family history or a seasoned veteran, we hope you’ll attend! We’re looking forward to a lively exchange of questions, research puzzles, expertise and lessons learned. For details of the discussion group topics and to find out what’s in store for future Branch meetings, please visit our Meetings page or browse through our Calendar.

Please note that the September meeting will not be live-streamed, but we expect to resume live-streaming our monthly meetings in October.
