September 2020 meeting – online

Our first Toronto Branch meeting of the fall 2020 season will take place on Monday, September 28, beginning at 7:30 p.m. (Eastern Daylight Time).  It will be entirely online and open to all—but you must register in advance.

No one wants a criminal at the dinner table, but, as speaker Janice Nickerson will demonstrate, finding one in your family tree can add pizzazz to an otherwise boring list of names and dates! In her presentation, Debt, Drunk & Disorderly, Vagrancy, Prostitution, Theft, Assault, Insanity: Are You Sure Your Ancestors Were Never in Jail?, Janice will introduce you to the wonder of jail records, and what they can tell us about our ancestors.

We’ll close out the evening with an update from the Branch Executive Committee on exciting new plans and initiatives. We hope you’ll join us for Making it Work, Your Toronto Branch during COVID

Find out more and register for “Debt, Drunk and Disorderly…” on September 28.

After registering, you’ll get an email message with a link to join the webinar. This link will be unique to your registration.

Watch our Calendar for information about events coming up in the fall.
