Over many years, Toronto Branch members have taken on projects to make Toronto and Ontario records more understandable and accessible. We have indexed, transcribed, digitized, photographed records as well as describing them and explaining their significance and how to use them—in articles, books, and online.
You can read more about some individual projects—in progress and completed—by selecting the links below, and see evidence of others throughout the pages of this website.
We’d love your help, and we know from our own experience that you will find joining a project satisfying. You’ll learn a lot along the way and meet a few kindred spirits. You don’t need to be in Toronto—we also have opportunities for volunteering from a distance.
You can contact the individual project leaders or email our Volunteer Coordinator for guidance.
