Call for Speakers: Quebec Workshop

Gary SchroderToronto Branch is planning a full-day workshop in April 2016 on Quebec Family History, and we’re delighted that Gary Schroder has agreed to be the keynote speaker. Gary is the long-time President of the Quebec Family History Society, a popular lecturer and instructor, and a recognized expert in the field.

And now… we’re seeking other speakers with Quebec expertise who would like to be part of the workshop team.

Gary will be addressing church, civil and other key record sets, and we’re inviting potential speakers to suggest complementary presentations, both focused and more general, at various skill levels. Proposals should emphasize the sources available for researching the lives of our Quebec ancestors, but we are open to a range of topics, including migration patterns and social history. Case studies are welcome.

You’ll find a link to our detailed call for presentations on our Speakers and Instructors Wanted page.

Please note that the deadline to submit a proposal for this workshop is Saturday 24 October 2015.
